Students in Mr. Comer's Civics classes at Page County Middle School recently recreated a mock Naturalization process. The students had previously studied the process in class and then did further research. They then filled out an abbreviated application form (an N-400) where they had to actually sign the form in cursive. The potential citizens were then fingerprinted, took a profile picture, and an abbreviated Citizenship test. The process ended with the presentation of an American flag and a pocket copy of the Constitution. The applicants took the oath of allegiance that grants each individual US citizenship. After the mock Naturalization process was completed the students took a group (class) picture in front of the American flag.
