Page County Public Schools is excited to celebrate Virginia Farm to School week. Yesterday's lunch included meatloaf made with Burner's Beef meat grown in Luray. It's Taco Tuesday for lunch and we've made pico de gallo using tomatoes grown by Spring Valley Farm and Orchard in Augusta, WV; bell peppers (elementary schools) grown in Stanley, Luray, and Elkton; jalapeno peppers (middle and high schools) grown in Luray and Stanley. Special thanks to Public House Produce, PACA's Community Gardens, the Lowman Family, and an anonymous donor for the various peppers. Today is also the annual Crunch Heard 'Round the Commonwealth. Students and staff throughout the division will be taking a "crunch" out of apples grown in Sperryville by Thornton River Orchard and Market.

Due to the anticipated number of participants for the BMX Bike event to be held October 5th (for Shenandoah Elementary and Stanley Elementary), this event is being RELOCATED to the LOWER PARKING LOT AT PAGE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL. (Families should park on the north side of the lower parking lot at Page County Middle School). Please Share.

Notice to parents in the Luray Area- Bus 39 will not be running this afternoon in the South Antioch Road, Reservoir Ave, Brumback Ave. Grove Road, Woodland Ave., Park Ave., Collins Ave., and Hinton Road. We will be sending our school vans to deliver students home in these area’s this afternoon. Expect a 15-20 minute delay in their arrival time.

Good morning Shenandoah Elementary School Families, Shenandoah Elementary School went into a school-wide lockdown at about 10:20 a.m. due to a situation in our community involving the Page County Sheriff’s Office and the Shenandoah Police Department. The situation has been resolved and the school has moved out of lockdown status. All students, faculty, and staff are safe. Thank you.

Please share‼️‼️ Notice to parents in the Luray Area- Friday October 1st PM only- Bus 27 will be split between 2 different buses for the afternoon route. We will send information to the the schools tomorrow so students will be put on the correct bus. Parents may also send a note to their teacher to ensure that everyone is aware. Students Riding Bus 50 may have a 15-20 minute delay arriving home. **Students getting off on Valleyburg Road will ride Bus 26. **Students getting off on Massanutten Ave, South Mayre Lane, Eden Road (from Reservoir Ave to Antioch Road), Fairview Road, Lewis and Charles Street to Brookstone Road and end at Dry Run Road. These roads will ride Bus 50.

Important Bus Route Information: PLEASE SHARE‼️ Notice to parents in the Grovehill/Shenandoah Area. This afternoon we have the following changes: 🚌 Students riding to McDaniel Lane and Rinaca Lane will ride Bus 42 this afternoon. 🚌 Students that Ride Bus 2 and Bus 48 will be combined this afternoon. Bus 2 students will be later returning home this afternoon, approximately 20-25 minutes. The route will be as follows: Shenandoah Elem to 340 to PCHS and PCMS and then Strole Farm Road back to Newport Road, Rockingham Drive to Battle Creek Rd. Over to Riverbend Rd. to Grovehill River Rd.
