Page County Middle School students in Mrs. Weakley's 8th grade class have been completing a unit on Fingerprinting and Cyber Security as a part of the ACSE Grant program. After learning the basics of fingerprinting, students did a variety of interactive activities. School SRO, "Dinky" Conley, visited the classroom to explain the process and took students fingerprints, and Mrs. Shifflett, ITRT, came in and taught the students how to use OSMO and one of their prints to trace fingerprints to make a digital copy. To wrap up the lesson, Mrs. Brumfield, ITRT, also visited the classroom to help the students successfully complete a Cyber Security Escape Room.
