PCMS 6th Graders Come Up With Creative Ways To Fit Through Paper
6th graders, during RTI Enrichment class at Page County Middle School, were challenged to come up with ways to fit through paper. They were only allowed to use their problem solving skills, paper, and a pair of scissors to accomplish the STEM task. Students experimented with
various sizes of paper and different cutting techniques throughout the STEM
challenge process. They successfully were able to fit between one and twelve
people, with room to spare, inside a single 11 x 17 piece of paper. How is this
possible? It’s all in the way you decide to carefully fold and cut the paper. They had a blast trying to cut their way through this challenge!
